God is Good…By Diamond Mack
“I wanted to tell you about my experience at North Bay and my time in youth ministry.
At North Bay I experienced a lot of love and faith. When I first went ,my mind was in other places.
At that time I never would have expected to be where I am today. North Bay changed my whole life all together and helps me to grow in my faith each time I go.
I wasn't really at the best stage of my life the first time that I went to North Bay so when I got there I changed a lot.
I was hanging with the wrong crowd and doing wrong things, which I wasn't proud of. During that week I noticed that living like Christ was the greatest feeling I could ever have and it is worth way more than being cool and down.
When I came home I stopped hanging with the wrong people and started hanging with God. I decided to become Catholic and gave myself to the Lord. I really want to thank everyone for their support and the opportunity to go back to North Bay to help renew my faith.
It hasn't always been easy but with the help of youth ministry and my Church I have made it to where I am today...standing here, hopefully inspiring someone else to follow God's path and make their time on this earth the best it could ever be.”

TEENS LOVING CHRIST
Greetings and welcome to the Wonderful World of Youth Ministry!
TLC jr. - Teens Loving Christ for grades 7-8.
This group is open to all 7th and 8th graders of the parish and school. Teens do not need to be Catholic to participate. We will have fun activities, do service projects and share our faith. Teens will have a safe place to gather and grow in their faith. Meetings are held on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 in the St. Ignatius lower Church.
TLC- Teens Loving Christ.
This is our parish high school youth group and is open to all teens in high school. This group aims to help our high school kids live out their faith amidst the challenges and obstacles they are faced with each day. We do many fun activities, service projects, hold fundraisers and of course we talk about God. All high school teens who participate are eligible to go on our summer youth trip to North Bay Maryland which is truly an experience not to be missed. Located in the beautiful Chesapeake Bay area the kids have the opportunity to go rock climbing, try the ropes course, go swimming, tubing, canoeing, and activities like bonfires on the beach to name a few. TLC meets every Wednesday in the lower Church at St. Ignatius from 4-6:30.
I hear a lot of people say that “the youth are the future of our church” and while that is very true our youth are also the present. They have gifts and ideas to be shared, talents to be used and there are many things we can learn from our youth right now.
Our mission statement is simple:
We, as a community of young people, have been called by God to live and grow as disciples, to respond to the needs of our parish and to use and share the gifts that God has given us with the larger community. We will empower and welcome all those willing to do the same.
So, if you are looking for a place to meet some new friends, if you are looking to have a great time, if you want to try something different and get involved with a group of people who might turn out to be just like you…stop on by and check us out. We can't wait to meet you!
